Happy New Year to everyone, hoping that 2018 is your best year yet. FBA has an exciting year ahead. We finished the year on a high with “Celebrate 17 “ at Swaab Attorneys premises. It was great to see our Hall of Fame winners in attendance (King Living and Actron Air). We learnt a little more about the history of their businesses and look forward to an ‘Insider Event’ at both businesses in 2018. There were a number of new faces present and a lot of people I’ve known for years. I love seeing that FBA is growing in membership and such diverse businesses too.

I am happy to announce that Alex Petersen has been appointed as the NSW State Manager. Alex has been with FBA for a few years now as VIC State Manager. She has moved back home to NSW and we are delighted that she will remain within the FBA community.

I ventured up to Newcastle in mid December as FBA is launching an Adviser Connect Chapter in the Newcastle / Hunter area. There were about 20 of us for breakfast at Hicksons Lawyers (thank you Warwick Ryan, partner at Hicksons for hosting). There appears to be a lot of interest! Wendy Foster is developing that initiative as part of her new role at FBA.
