G’Day – well, what a great conference! Another blockbuster for FBA with well over 400 delegates packed into the Pullman in Melbourne with a wonderful line-up of speakers and activities to satisfy everyone’s taste. For the first time visitors – put it in your diary for next year because the more you come along the more people you get to know and the more you learn. This network of national and international family businesses is invaluable in making sure that your business survives and thrives.

The Board and staff of FBA are keenly awaiting the commencement of our new CEO Greg Griffith at the beginning of October and we trust that he is going to lead our organisation to new and inspiring heights. The entire team has done an amazing job over recent months without anyone in that chair and I thank the Directors and staff who have pulled together to keep FBA afloat during this time.

In NSW and ACT we are preparing for year-end activities, including the election of the Committee that will steer us through 2017 and beyond. Serving on the Committee is a rich and rewarding experience that not only gives an insight into the workings of our FBA but also helps individuals to develop their skills as a Director and to work shoulder-to-shoulder with people with a wide range of experience. If you are interested and would like to have a chat with me, please contact our Manager Wendy on 0418 901 521 and she will connect us.

Happy Spring everyone!
